Build R.E.I., LLC is a boutique family office that believes there is a window of opportunity to acquire unentitled land in the southeast U.S. on terms and conditions that haven't been present in decades. Our focus is not based on a property's commercial or residential uses but on properties that present a unique story based on their location and the market opportunities they represent. We judge this by analyzing the property, including zoning, topography, location, availability of utilities, and market conditions. Utilizing this data and our vast knowledge, we work with the local governments to produce a result that works well for us and the communities we serve. Build R.E.I. invests time and money into higher-yielding real estate projects in both debt and equity structures. The majority of assets will be located in the Southeastern USA. While the marketplace for private planned communities, subdivisions and mixed use project has become more institutionalized in recent years, a large group of potential projects remain under-served. These projects typically have characteristics such as;

  • Difficult Municipality Hurdles

  • Wetland Mitigation

  • Zoning and Entitlements

  • Owners with limited cash flow or lack of liquid assets

  • Unique properties or short closing timeframes

  • Large development or construction components

Often labeled as “asset based” opportunities, where the value of the underlying collateral is the primary strength of the deal. Due to the caliber of these projects, much greater profits can often be realized than on standard land development sites.
